Tour Information

BIRD WATCHING TOUR MEXICO

Duration: 1 day tour – 6 hours approximately
Category: Nature
Departs: Fridays
Language: English and Spanish

This Bird Watching Tour gives you the remarkable opportunity to observe a wide variety of different bird species in the Mayan jungle, Mexico.

Hundreds of bird species live in Quintana Roo, the whole year around. Besides, there are a lot of birds who are coming to Mexico during winter. They make a stopover until they continue their journey to South America. This ensures that there are more than 360 species of birds living in the state of Quintana Roo. The Yucatan peninsula has over 527 bird species in 62 families.

The migratory birds are in Mexico two times per year. Both times to escape from the strong winters in other countries. The birds cross the Gulf of Mexico, a way of 800 to 1000 km, to arrive to the Yucatan Peninsula.

This tour is extremely suitable for nature lovers. Our guides are specialized in the different bird species and will tell you all the ins and outs about every specific type.

How I wish we had $600 in our budget for a bird watching tour! But, alas, perhaps you could recommend a place that might be a better fit – say, up to $400???

    Thank you for any suggestions.

  • Phil Scott says:

We are staying at the ocean maya royale hotel till the 25th October and would be grateful if you could provide details of the trip please. Does the $200 per person include pick up from the hotel? If not what would the additional cost be. There would just be my wife and I. Is there a surcharge for using a credit card? Or do you accept £ sterling? If yes at what exchange rate? I look forward to your reply

    • Hello Phil,
Are you having a nice vacation in Cancun?
The pick up and drop off are included in the price and you can use a credit card without an extra charge.
If you want more information about the tour, don’t hesitate to contact us again.
      Kind regards,

  • […] With the Holbox Island Adventure Tour you explore the amazing wildlife with especially attention to birds and crocodiles. Another experience you should try is visiting The Little Bird Island, the place […]

  • Andy Dearing says:

I initially thought the price was a bit high but after having such a wonderful experience I would recommend this for anyone with even a passing interest in birds. The guide, Hernan, was very knowledgeable about the birds and certainly knew where to find them.
