| Day 1 |
- Arrival Day: Home/Los Mochis, Mexico/El Fuerte. Transfer to the charming colonial gateway to the Copper Canyon, El Fuerte. Check in to our beautiful historic lodge and then roam the cobble stone streets for a taste of old Mexico. Relax and wander this quaint and historical city (no meals included). Meet your guide at 9:00 pm at the hotel lobby for more details on next day’s departure. (Overnight: Hotel El Fuerte or equivalent).

Day 2 |
- San Rafael/Guitayvo. We get off the train in San Rafael (6,600 ft.). We load up the vehicle and set out driving through the rolling hills of the high sierra to arrive at a school and a church in the indigenous village of San Alonso and then follow the rolling hills of the high Sierra Tarahumara. After about an hour, we arrive to Guitayvo (7,590 ft.) in the late-afternoon. After having arrived at eco-cabins of the community in Guitayvo we set off for a light hike to an impressive view point. Here we stretch our legs and acclimatize to the crisp high sierra air. We will spend our first night in this simple yet charming shelter. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner is included. (Overnight: Eco-cabins Guitayvo). Short hike (1:00 hour); Altitude gain/loss: 150/80ft.

Day 3 |
- (Trek Day One). Today, we will begin our hiking adventure. We continue navigating around the mesa of Guitayvo, descend through an arroyo (river bed) and then climb up gradually the side of a canyon. The mystical tranquillity of this alpine region is reinforced by the wind whistling through the pine needles. We arrive at the small ranch of Huemachi (6,620 ft.) in the late afternoon. Breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner is included. (Overnight: Wild Camping). Full day hike (6-8 hours); Altitude gain/loss: 690/1650ft.

Day 4 |
- (Trek Day Two).Today, our descent continues as we connect with the Urique Canyon. On our trail we will have stupendous views and we really hit our stride as we walk along the ridge that spills down into the incredible Copper Canyon. We arrive at a small ranch in Chiruhuerabo (7,720ft.) in the late afternoon. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner is included. (Overnight: Wild Camping). Full day hike (6-8 hours); Altitude gain / loss: 1320 /142ft.

Day 5 |
- (Trek Day Three). Entering the Urique canyon through a side canyon. The views from the ridge looking down are spectacular and we carefully navigate the steep descent with plenty of stops to observe the quickly changing vegetation. We make our way towards Naranjo (3,894 ft.) where we are greeted by the friendly people that live here. After a coffee and some time to chat with the locals, we camp in the fruit orchards of this charming spot. There will be amazing views from our tents to all directions. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner. (Overnight: Wild Camping). Full day hike (6-8 hours); Altitude gain/loss: 132/3,826ft.

Day 6 |
-
(Trek Day Four). Our last hiking day is shorter as we continue our descent feeling the final change in climate and vegetation as we arrive down to the Urique River. We continue on to the frontier mining outpost of Uriqe (1,818 ft.) where a home cooked meal awaits you with Doña Tita. In the afternoon, we will leave the town of Urique by vehicle up an impressive switchback road to the high sierra and our to our own private lodge at Cerocahui. Here, clean clothes and a hot fire are waiting for us! Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included. (Overnight: Cerocahui Hiking Lodge); Full Day hike (4-6 hours); Altitude gain/loss: 258/2,376ft.

Day 7 |
-
Cerocahui/Creel. After breakfast we will depart to our destination at Creel. On the way we are stopping to see the Cerocahui Mission and some of the most impressive view points along the road from Cerocahui to Creel. You will have lunch along the way before arriving at the frontier logging outpost turned into a tourist center for the Copper Canyon, Creel. Diner in our cozy hotel. Breakfast, lunch, dinner is included. (Overnight Plaza Mexicana).

Day 8 |
- Creel/Chihuahua. Breakfast and a chance to explore a bit more before our mid-morning transfer to Chihuahua. Here we will check in to our comfortable accommodation. The late afternoon is free for relaxing or site seeing at the interesting museums and historical sites of this important cultural and economic center of Northwestern Mexico. At night we will be in town for our farewell fiesta. Breakfast, lunch, dinner is included. (Overnight: Hotel San Francisco).

- Departure: Chihuahua Mexico/Home. Transfer to the Airport for connecting flights. (No meals included).
