Visit the most important archaeological site of Yucatan, the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire, for its extraordinary architectural beauty and its geographical location. This tour is a must-see for any visit to Cancun!!!

Founded in the year 514 AD, Chichen Itza was once the capital of the ancient Mayan civilization and has recently been declared one of the “7 Modern Wonders of the World.” Admire the majestic Observatory, the Sacred Cenote where sacrifices took place and the Ball Court's perfect acoustic, with 168 meters in lengths and 70 meters wide the largest Ball Game in Mesoamerica. Moreover, be astonished by the Pyramid of Kukulcan that combines theology and astronomy to produce a unique spectacle twice a year; the Spring Equinox and the Autumn Solstice. Days, when the shadows projected over the architectonic elements of the building resemble a serpent descending to the ground.

Located inside the pyramid you find the famous Chac Mool sculpture and the Jaguar Throne.

Itinerary
07:00 hrs/ 08:00 hrs	Our excursion begins by picking all passengers up between 7:00 to 08:00 am from the lobbies of all major Cancun hotels in a deluxe motor coach or van. (Sometimes restrooms are available on the bus during the three-hour trip to Chichen Itza; however we will take a short 20 minute stop in a small Mayan Village with bathrooms). Enjoy a box lunch served on the vehicle along with bottled water and soft drinks.
	First, we will visit a cenote where you can swim or simply enjoy the natural beauty of this place. Take a swim in the crystal clear waters!
	Then we will go to Piste town next to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza where we will get our lunch buffet with fresh salads, soups, rice, meat, chicken, fish, vegetables and regional dishes. Also included are two drinks (beer, soft drinks or bottled water). During lunch, enjoy a festive show in which regional natives perform traditional dances to folklore music. After lunch, we will be ready to visit the archaeological site, picking up a fresh large bottle of water to keep everyone hydrated during our visit.
	Once inside, you will be taken on a 1 hour and 30 minutes tour with a certified bilingual guide who will introduce you to the secrets of the Mayans Your guide will explain the historical significance of all the most important sites before leaving you to enjoy the ruins on your own. A great opportunity to take some photographs!
16:30 hrs	We will depart at 16:30 hrs, arriving back to the first hotel in Cancun at around 19:30 hrs (Return Drop off Service Not Available for Courtyard by Marriott or Secrets Excellence Playa Mujeres Hotels).
