Wildlife Safari Tour

A unique eight day expedition, exploring the Mayan World. Discover unique wildlife species and participate in conservation projects of the protected areas of the Mayan jungle, reef and wetlands. Some of the activities that are included are: kayaking, biking, snorkeling, hiking in the jungle, visiting Mayan sites, snorkeling with whale sharks and camping in pristine protected areas.

	Day 1
	Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Ojo de Agua Hotel (or similar) in Puerto Morelos. Briefing about the activities, our security and other important information. Afterwards, dinner at the hotel.
	Day 2
07:30 hrs.	Breakfast at the hotel.
08:30 hrs.	Enjoy kayaking to your own private spot in the reef. Here, you will find a wide diversity of corals and fishes.
12:30 hrs	Lunch at the hotel.
14:00 hrs.	Walk through the botanical garden and learn about the Mayan plants and trees and enjoy observing the wild population of spider Monkeys.
17:00 hrs.	Return to your hotel.
19:00 hrs.	Dinner at the hotel.
20:00 hrs.	Optional: night snorkeling the reef. Enjoy a unique chance to snorkel the reef at night time.
	Day 3
08:00 hrs.	Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 hrs.	Departure to the archaeological site of Tulum.
10:00 hrs.	Visit of the archaeological site in Tulum.
12:00 hrs.	Snorkel in the great Gran cenote with its crystal clear waters. The centote is full of stalagmites and stalactites.
13:00 hrs.	Lunch at Don Cafeto, a Mexican restaurant in Tulum.
14:00 hrs.	Departure to the research station of the Sian ka’an Biosphere Reserve.
16:00 hrs.	Arrival and check in at the research station.
18:00 hrs.	Dinner at the research station.
19:30 hrs.	Night hike through the jungle of the Sian ka’an Biosphere Reserve to see animals and listen to the sound of the jungle at night time.
	Day 4
06:00 hrs.	Optional: bird watching hike in the reserve.
07:30 hrs.	Breakfast at the research station.
08:30 hrs.	Bike expedition through the reserve to see the unique wildlife.
13:00 hrs.	Lunch at the research station.
15:00 hrs.	Departure to Coba.
17:00 hrs.	Arrival at Coba and check in at the hotel.
19:00 hrs.	Dinner at the hotel.
20:00 hrs.	Night hike to search for crocodiles at the Coba lagoon.
	Day 5
06:00 hrs.	Optional: bird watching hike in Coba.
07:30 hrs.	Breakfast at the hotel.
08:30 hrs.	Visit the unique archaeological site of Coba. Hike in the 3 miles wide site to discover the great Nohoch Mul, the tallest pyramid of the Mayan World of Mexico.
12:00 hrs.	Return to the hotel. Enjoy a swim in the pool.
12:30 hrs.	Lunch at the hotel.
14:00 hrs.	Departure to Holbox Island. This is in the protected area of Yum Balam.
16:30 hrs.	Arrival at Chiquila and boat transfer to Holbox. We are passing by bird island and spend time on this beautiful island.
18:00 hrs.	Check in at the hotel.
19:00 hrs.	Dinner at the hotel.
20:00 hrs.	Night hike on the beach in search for marine turtles laying eggs.
21:00 hrs.	Release new born marine turtles and obtain a adoption certificate for your newborn marine turtle.
	Day 6
06:00 hrs.	Early departure by boat to look for whale sharks, big mantas and dolphins. Snorkel with whale sharks, depending on how close the whale sharks allow us. Normally, they are looking for food, but if we get close without disturbing them we can swim and snorkel with them. There will be fruit, juices and a sandwich during the boat trip.
12:00 hrs.	Return to the hotel.
12:30 hrs.	Lunch at the hotel.
14:00 hrs.	Walk through the town of Holbox.
18:00 hrs.	Dinner at the hotel.
19:00 hrs.	Kayak - expedition in search for crocodiles in the wetlands at night.
	Day 7
08:00 hrs.	Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 hrs.	Enjoy a fantastic kayak expedition to see flamingos, pelicans, cormorans, egrets, herons.
12:30 hrs.	Lunch at the Faro Viejo hotel (or similar).
13:30 hrs.	Adopt a palm.
14:00 hrs.	Departure to Cancun.
16:30 hrs.	Arrival at Cancun and check in at the hotel.
19:00 hrs.	Dinner at Los Bisquets, a Mexican restaurant (or similar).
	Day 8
	Transfer to the airport.

Hike in the jungle to discover unique species such as the spider monkey and many others.
