Wildlife Safari Tour

A unique eight day expedition, exploring the Mayan World. Discover unique wildlife species and participate in conservation projects of the protected areas of the Mayan jungle, reef and wetlands. Some of the activities that are included are: kayaking, biking, snorkeling, hiking in the jungle, visiting Mayan sites and snorkeling with whale sharks or sailfish.

Day 1

Arrival in Cancun: Tour will be welcomed by your professional naturalist guide. Transfer to your hotel in Puerto Morelos. Briefing about the activities, our security and other important information.

Day 2

Botanical Garden and Night Snorkeling: After breakfast in your hotel boat trip to your own private spot in the reef. Here, you will find a wide diversity of corals and fish like the impressive barracudas, angelfishes or grunts. Evenings walk through the Botanical Garden in Puerto Morelos in order to learn about the Mayan plants and trees while observing awesome Spider Monkeys. Optional night snorkeling in the reef.

Day 3

Tulum and Sian Ka’an: After breakfast in your hotel discover the archaeological site of Tulum. Afterwards snorkel in the amazing Grand Cenote with its crystal clear water. The cenote is full of stalagmites and stalactites. In the evening departure to the Research Station of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.
*During the summer months: Enjoy a special night hike at the beach in order to see and participate in the marine turtle project where you can even adopt a turtle.
* During the winter months: Enjoy a special night kayaking tour in the wetlands in search of crocodiles.

Day 4

Bird Watching and Coba: Begin the day with an optional Bird Watching hike. After breakfast in your hotel go on a bike expedition through the reserve in order to discover its unique wildlife. In the afternoon departure to Coba. Explore the lagoon’s crocodiles during a fascination night hike.

Day 5

Coba and Rio Lagartos: Begin the with an optional Bird Watching hike. After breakfast in your hotel departure to the Rio Lagartos Reserve in order to enjoy observation of wildlife such as pink flamingos and other exotic animals. Overnight in Rio Lagartos.

Day 6

Ek Balam, Holbox and Cancun: Early departure to see the local Mayan community of Ek Balam. Learn about some of their interesting projects. Follow to the Island of Holbox where a boat trip will let you discover wildlife in the area. Overnight in Cancun.

Day 7

During summer months: Whale Shark Tour: After breakfast in your hotel enjoy a fantastic boat trip in order to snorkel with the biggest fish in the world, the amazing but harmless Whale Shark. Back to Cancun to relax and enjoy the beach in the afternoon.

During winter months: Sailfish Adventure: After breakfast in your hotel enjoy a fantastic boat trip in order to snorkel with one of the fastest fish in the world, the amazing Sailfish. Back to Cancun to relax and enjoy the beach in the afternoon.

Day 8

Departure from Cancun: End of the tour. After breakfast in your hotel transfer to the airport in Cancun.
