Jaguar Tour Adventure

Visit the Jaguar habitat and participate in a research project.

A unique seven-day expedition that involves participating in a research project in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. The project includes visiting the jaguar's habitat and searching for tracks in the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve, traveling along the wetlands, the forest, coastal lagoons and dunes.
Some of the activities included are: hiking in the jungle, collecting data, snorkeling, exploring Mayan sites and camping in pristine protected areas.

	Day 1
	Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Santa Teresa Research station at the middle west access to the Sian Ka´an Biosphere. Briefing about the activities, the security instructions and other important information regarding the jaguar project.
	Day 2
06:00 hrs	Optional early birdwatching hike.
07:30 hrs	Breakfast in the station.
08:30 hrs	Begin jaguar methodolgy obtaining some biodiversity data in the subcaducifolian forest.
14:00 hrs	Hike in the jungle looking for animals tracks or animal traces.
19:00 hrs	Dinner in research station.
20:00 hrs	Hiking in the jungle. as part of the project, but also looking for insects and other night animals.
	Day 3
06:00 hrs	Bird watching in the forest.
08:00 hrs	Breakfast at the station.
09:00 hrs	All day activities take places close to the research station. We are looking for jaguar tracks in the forest.
19:00 hrs	Dinner at the research station.
20:30 hrs	Night hike searching for more animal traces.
	Day 4
07:30 hrs	Breakfast at the research station.
08:30 hrs	Departure to the Zigual area.
13:00 hrs	Arrival at Zigual.
13:30 hrs	Snack in Zigual.
15:00 hrs	Hiking in Zigual to the Bahia del Espiritu Santo. We are looking for animal tracks.
18:30 hrs	Camping in the jungle.
19:30 hrs	Dinner in the jungle.
21:00 hrs	Night hike.
	Day 5
06:00 hrs	Optional birdwatching in the jungle.
07:30 hrs	Breakfast in the jungle.
08:30 hrs	All day hiking expedition crossing the jungle and the wetlands areas.
12:30 hrs	Arriving at Bahia Espiritu Santo.
13:00 hrs	Boat trip to snorkel the unspoiled reef of the reserve.
14:00 hrs	Lunch in the town of Maria Elena.
15:00 hrs	Departure to Bahia de la Ascención. Here, we are searching for manatees, dolphins and turtles.
18:00 hrs	Arriving at Vigia Chico and transfer to the research station.
20:30 hrs	Dinner at the Santa Teresa research station.
	Day 6
07:30 hrs	Breakfast at the research station.
08:30 hrs	Departure to Puerto Morelos to the Hotel Ojo de agua.
12:00 hrs	Snorkeling the second largest barrier reef of the world.
14:00 hrs	Lunch at Posada Amor.
15:30 hrs	Hike through the botanical garden to learn about the plants and trees of the Maya and to enjoy a wild population of spider Monkeys.
19:30 hrs	Dinner at Posada Amor.
	Day 7
	Transfer to the airport.
