Travel Guide
Our tours take place in the Maya World of the Yucatan Peninsula and beyond. Do you have a love for nature, traveling, people, and life? Do you understand that it is the travel guides who can fulfill the wishes of our clients? Then we might have a job for you. What does it take to be a travel guide for EcoColors:

1. A professional study in the field of either biology, science, or other related environmental studies.
In order to educate our clients, our guides need to know what they are talking about. You need to be able to explain why Sian Ka'an is so important, what certain trees and plants can do for you, what the differences is between certain birds etc. We want you to be able to amaze our clients with your knowledge. Knowing the history of Mexico is also a pre.

2. Commitment to the preservation of nature.
In order to keep traveling to the most amazing places in the world, you need to know how to preserve them for the future generation.

3. Fluent in Spanish and English.
Most of our clients will either speak Spanish or English. In order to establish and maintain excellent relations with our clients and the people we work and meet in the field it is important to speak their language. Of course, if you speak more languages than this, you will not hear us complain.

4. Flexible
Tours can range from one day to 15 days, the clients can be really nice or difficult, the weather might be too hot or too cold, etc. Are you ready to deal with last minutes changes?

5. Excellent people skills
You are the one that can fulfill the wishes of our clients. We look in our travel guides for people that have a good sense of humor and always have a smile on their face while dealing with the most different (difficult) people and situations.

6. Commitment
Are you committed to work for our company and are you willing to work for a longer period than 1 year with us? We think that it takes time to learn the skills that are needed in a good travel guide and that once you have learned these skills we want to have you around for a while!

7. Initiative, resourcefulness and enthusiasm

Sales and Marketing

Nobody will ever hear of a product if it is not properly promoted. Sales and Marketing is one of the most important departments for carrying out the mission statement of a company. Are you interested in the tourism and travel industry and have a love for nature and everything that lives? If you think that you are the one that can sell a 70 year old one of our bicycle tours (which is already happened!!!), please send a personal letter and your resume after you have read the following requirements.

1. Completed study of Marketing, Sales or other related business studies.
In order to promote EcoColors, you need to able to know how to do it, what will have the most effect, how to increase the sales with the resources you have etc.

2. Knowledge of computer programs.
Most of the time will be spend in the office preparing promotion material that will be either placed online or it will be spread to different travel agencies. Programs like Word, Excel, Dream weaver are used regularly and experience with them is necessary.

3. Language skills
Our clients will either be addressed in Spanish or in English, so understanding both languages is a must.

4. Creativity
The tourism industry is one of the fastest growing industries of the world, meaning that the competition is though. Being creative means finding new ways to let the people know of our company in a new and exciting way, either by direct marketing or online.

5. Enthusiasm
